Two Cans and Some String, Inc. (“TCSS,” “we,” “us”) provides hosted business phone, SMS, and fax service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through https://tcss.io and the Service, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three broad categories:

• Account & billing information — name, business name, address, email, phone number, and payment details you provide when you sign up or update your account.
• Service & usage data — call detail records (numbers, timestamps, duration), SMS metadata, fax transmission records, device/registration data, and portal activity, generated by normal use of the Service.
• Website data — pages visited, referring source, and similar analytics collected via cookies or comparable technologies when you browse https://tcss.io.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provision, route, and bill for calling, texting, and fax service;
• Maintain 911 address registration and respond to emergencies (see E911 Notice);
• Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
• Detect and prevent fraud, toll abuse, and Acceptable Use Policy violations;
• Meet regulatory, tax, and law-enforcement obligations applicable to telecommunications carriers; and
• Improve the Service and this website.

3. Call, Text & Fax Content and CPNI

Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) — information about the quantity, technical configuration, location, and destination of your calls and messages — is used only as permitted by applicable telecommunications law: to provide and bill for the Service, for fraud prevention, and with your consent or as otherwise permitted. We do not sell CPNI or call/text/fax content. Fax images and voicemail transcriptions are retained only as needed to deliver the Service (e.g., to your fax-to-email inbox) and are accessible to TCSS personnel only for support and security purposes.

4. Sharing of Information

We share information only:

• With underlying carrier and infrastructure partners as needed to originate, terminate, and route calls, texts, and faxes;
• With payment processors to bill your account;
• With service providers under confidentiality obligations who support our operations (e.g., support ticketing, email delivery);
• When required by law, subpoena, or lawful emergency request; and
• With your consent.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and billing records for as long as required for tax, accounting, and regulatory purposes. Call detail records, SMS metadata, and fax transmission logs are retained for a period consistent with standard telecommunications recordkeeping practice, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

6. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect account and Service data, including encrypted signaling where supported and access controls on internal systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information by contacting sales@tcss.io, subject to our need to retain records required by law or necessary to provide the Service (including 911 address records while your account is active). Residents of certain states may have additional statutory privacy rights; we honor requests as required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for business customers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. International Users

The Service is designed for use within the United States. If you access https://tcss.io from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “last updated” date.
